I love decorating for Christmas every year – it’s something my mom always loved and it’s carried over to me. My husband and I have been growing our collection of Christmas ornaments since we first moved in together over 8 years ago. At this point we rarely use plain colored ornaments because we love pulling out all of the ones that have some sort of a meaning, like one we picked up on vacation.
Aside from ornaments from destinations we’ve traveled to, I usually pick up a couple new ornaments each year from one of my favorite places to do so: Crate & Barrel, Anthropologie, West Elm, H&M and even Kohl’s (best sales!). The closer you get to the holidays, the more affordable these Christmas ornaments get – but you also want to get them so you can actually put them on your tree this year! They also make great gifts for coworkers or Yankee swaps in particular.
