Shower Products I Love & Repurchase

My shower routine is finally back to being just that – a routine – post-kids and today’s post is all about the products I keep coming back to. I’ve repurchased all of these and highly recommend them!

I’m primarily in walk-yoga-stretch workout mode these days and finally re-trained my hair to be washed every other day (pregnancy and postpartum hormones made that tough!). I resisted this for years and believe in it now. Especially with kids, the quick body shower on the off days is helpful.

The newest addition to my routine is the Perfect Clean 2-in-1 Scalp Scrub & Clarifying Shampoo, which I had heard compared to a much pricier Goop product. It’s a great way to deep clean my hair once a week for under $20 (and this tub will last for a while!).

And of course, I have a few products that are more of shower luxuries, including the BeautyCounter scrub, Necessaire body wash, and Osea/BeautyCounter body oils. Do I need them? No. Are they a little more than I should be spending on shower products? Yes. Will I keep repurchasing? Also yes.

Read on for my shower essentials and add to your cart next time you need a refill!

During Shower:

Living Proof Full Shampoo & ConditionerI have lots of fine, straight hair and found this combo has worked well for me for years.

Perfect Clean 2-in-1 Scalp Scrub & Clarifying ShampooI use this 1x/week for a deep clean, especially since I’m using dry shampoo between washes. It’s a thick consistency but works well if you really massage it into your scalp with your fingertips or a scalp brush. I love that you use it like a regular shampoo, rather than having to leave it in for 8+ minutes.

BeautyCounter Sugarbuff Body ScrubMade with the cleanest of ingredients, this gentle scrub uses mill sugar to exfoliate, hydrate, and soften your skin. It’s such a nice luxury!

Versed Day Maker Microcrystal ExfoliatorThis has been repurchased many times and even my husband uses it. I love it in the shower because it’s easy to wash off there – it just has a bit of texture that leaves your face feeling smooth. No beads for exfoliating, which aren’t great for your face. A little goes a long way!

Tangle Teezer Detangle BrushIf you have long, fine, thick hair like me, use this when your conditioner is in for an easy detangle. I use this on my daughter, too!

Nécessaire Body WashThis luxurious body wash has the most amazing eucalyptus scent and has a nice oil texture that suds up a bit as you use it. Their Body Exfoliator is also wonderful.

Post-Shower Products:

Living Proof Restore Perfecting SprayIt took me a while to find a leave-in conditioning spray that worked well with air-dried hair, which is what I typically do. This is great – it gives your hair strength, smoothness, and shine.
Beautycounter Luminous Hydration Body Oil OR Osea Undaria Algae Body OilEither of these oils are a spa-like treat post-shower and I use them in place of body lotion. They are a splurge but in my opinion worth it!
